The firm has provided legal advice to shipping and insurance companies. Its work in the area of shipping and maritime law covers bills of lading; cargo claims; charterparties and contracts of affreightment; marine insurance policies; sale and purchase of vessels; loan agreements; shipping and international trade disputes; marine casualties, including collisions and salvage; litigation and arbitration in maritime disputes.

Besides the ordinary registration of trademarks and patents, the firm has expertise in the co-ordination of regional trademark registrations including PRC, Taiwan and Hong Kong and Macao.

The litigation practice encompasses commercial, banking, corporate, building and construction disputes, as well as general debt collection. The litigation team acts for many banking clients on bank fraud cases and enforcement of security documents.

The property team handles a diverse range of commercial and residential transactions, landlord and tenant matters, secured lending and project development work. They also advise on acquisition of PRC land and property development projects.
